Lorenzo Materazzo plays Scarlatti & Bach

Domenico Scarlatti and Johann Sebastian Bach, two contemporary lives, two prophetic Baroque composers. Scarlatti was a deep explorer of the possibilities of the harpsichord but at the same time his works seem to be composed for the modern piano and sound truly astonishing today. Bach´s music still offers an absolute reference model until today for classical music and also for jazz. Pianist Lorenzo Materazzi has chosen seven Sonatas which to be combined on this CD. For each one he adopted a specific way of interpretation and tried to give them a very lively character.
